- Sleep canceled their Australian/NZ tour because the promoter was a creep.
- Liv Kristine (ex Leaves Eyes, Theatre of Tragedy) joined Midnattsol as their 2nd singer (her sister is the other singer). 30-second teaser.
- A little bit of new punky hardcore from American Nightmare.

- Roadburn announced a bunch of bands. I also hear Oranssi Pazuzu and Dark Buddha Rising are doing some original orchestral thing, which will probably be pretty neat.
- King Witch has some new doom out.
- Psycho Las Vegas 2018 announced some bands including Witchcraft, Goblin, High on Fire, Survive, Zakk Sabbath, Indian, and DVNE.
- Katatonia is going on a hiatus to ponder the future of the band.
- Loudness releasing new album “Rise To Glory” on January 26.
- Wretched are working on a new album.
- Monster Magnet releasing new album Mindfucker on March 23.
- Vexes (Deftones-core band) released a new song.
- In preparation for their tour with Mac Sabbath (I can’t believe this is happening), Galactic Empire released a new video.
- Pierce the Veil’s drummer is the next in line for sexual misconduct allegations.

- Phil H’s Illegalities released a new track with a new guitarist.
- Biohazard/Cypress Hill/Fear Factory alumni Powerflo have new music. Lol.
- Veteran heavy metal band Blitzkrieg released some new music.

- Victorius released a new song off of their upcoming, fucking ridiculous Ep about space-dinosaur wars. It’s even more Gamma Ray worship than before.
