Trailblazers. On April 26, Finnish barnburners Baron will release their first LP Beneath the Blazing Abyss on the inimitable Transcending Obscurity Records. Back in January, I told everyone to hold on for dear life when the band’s first single dropped via the label’s 2024 sampler. “Primordial Possession” is 7 minutes of Xibalba-esque death/doom that revealed the band’s hardcore past.
