Starting the week off right with a meditation on pain and suffering.

Unflesh is a name likely familiar to tech death fans; they had an impressive showing with their 2016 EP Transcendence to Eternal Obscurity, and the followup, Savior, was one of the best works of melodic tech death in 2018. If you haven’t heard it, you can catch yourself up on it here (it’s definitely worth a few listens), but I wouldn’t worry too much; what we’ve got in store for you today is going to feel new to established fans as well. “Amongst Horrors Must I Dwell” is the second single from their upcoming album, Inhumation, and it shows a very different side of the band than what you might expect. Says the band:

“Amongst Horrors Must I Dwell” is a song that deals with pain and suffering. This song is at the middle to later point of the album where the process of desensitization has almost taken full hold over the individual. It also depicts this being having to forge ahead on this process of desensitization through pain and suffering at all costs. At the completion of the track the individual is now devoid of any pain.”
