Sometimes, my sore, sore knuckles need a break from all the trog death. In these rare cases, I’ll reach for something more challenging\u2014like tech death, or the video game equivalent, puzzle games. Something to sink those wrinkles a few picometers deeper. Luckily for me, the 9-year wait for a follow-up to Croteam’s The Talos Principle<\/em> came to an end this week. They’re the sort of games that are best experienced with little foreknowledge\u2014all you need to know is they’re in the vein of Portal<\/em>, but with a more complex, philosophical narrative\/vibe. (Also, there are cats.) By the time you’re done solving the mysteries within, you’ll be writing songs with chords made up of\u00a010<\/strong> notes!<\/p>\n
