O filth-fetcher, o suppository seer, watch over mine backside as I cannot. This week we’ve got THAT NAME THO melodeath, more fetal mistreatment, and a worm that loves to rot. Beware the siren song\u2014the water is deep, and Dane only knows what lurks in the inky, stinky depths…<\/p>\n

Time Decay – Life to Fall Apart<\/a> (Independent) [Power]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Much as I love the\u00a0Twilight Force<\/strong>s and\u00a0Dragonforce<\/strong>s of the world (lots of -Force bands), the best power metal will always be the type with a dude wailing over the top of riffs that make you go, “Hell yeah.” Based on having heard exactly one (1) song from\u00a0Time Decay<\/strong>, I can now confidently say that they are of the latter type of power metal. “Ocean Is Not Silent” is nonstop rollicking riffage and sick shreds, complete with a bit of cheesy narration towards the end and a singer who sounds vaguely reminiscent of the late Warrel Dane. Good times to be had on this one.\u00a012\/15\/23<\/strong> (Spear)<\/p>\n
