Slaughtersun \u2013 Black Marrow<\/a> (Independent) [Prog Death<\/b>]<\/b><\/p>\n

The production on Slaughtersun’s debut EP is quite idiosyncratic; there’s a warm, fuzzed-out tone that creates a disorienting levity throughout when combined with the violence of the compositions. From “Black Marrow”‘s upbeat deathrash to the discordant deluge of “Ready Cell Awaits,” myriad sub-genres interwine in each track; even with its compact runtime, listeners will need multiple spins to make sense of the maelstrom.
