I&#8217;m sorry. However, this opening bass riff in Steven Wilson&#8217;s &#8220;Luminol&#8221; is too groovy not to love. And honestly, I think it needs that pick contact noise to drive it home. The bass really drives the whole opening song so it should be listened to in toto, but <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1404285373\"><span class=\"aQJ\">4:37<\/span><\/span> is where things really get going. The build up to the riff starts at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1404285374\"><span class=\"aQJ\">2:11<\/span><\/span>, but the riff doesn&#8217;t start properly until <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/39m3wGdEMzo?t=2m28s\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1404285375\"><span class=\"aQJ\">2:28<\/span><\/span><\/a>, and it is INSANELY awesome. The man\u2019s been laying down bass lines since the early 80\u2019s. \u00a0The question is, what bass riff do you chose? Since grindcore is my go to genre and <strong>Brutal Truth<\/strong> is an all time great band, I\u2019m going with something I\u2019ve been hooked on since I first heard it. \u201cStench of Prophet\u201d features Lilker\u2019s signature distorted bass tone to start off the 2nd track off \u00a0the<em> Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses <\/em>album. The opening of the song starts with the bass riff coupled with the drums.
