Despite Weiland&#8217;s notoriously self-destructive behavior, it doesn&#8217;t seem real. Late last night, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/6785645\/scott-weiland-stone-temple-pilots-dead\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard and Dave Navarro<\/a> both relayed that STP&#8217;s former singer had shuffled off his mortal coil. This news is&#8230; incredibly sudden. I was still getting Facebook ads about his current tour with <strong>Scott Weiland &amp;\u00a0the Wildabouts<\/strong> just hours ago.\u00a0In addition to his work with Stone Temple Pilots, Weiland also fronted supergroup <strong>Velvet Revolver<\/strong>, alongside\u00a0<strong>Guns N&#8217;\u00a0Roses<\/strong> veterans Matt Soren, Duff McKagen, and Slash.<\/p>\n<p>Stone Temple Pilots were one of the handful of bands that dominated my FM rock station\u00a0childhood.
