Their latest record, <em>Emeritus<\/em>, which dropped earlier this month, defies common descriptors. This five-track album winds its way through death metal, to black metal, to noise rock, and skronk &#8211; often within the course of a single song. The band&#8217;s art-metal spectrum centers around the stories of the doomed men and women of the April 26, 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
