I\u2019ve been saying for months, even years that nu metal was coming back. Sometimes it was just the music. Other times it was mostly the gimmicks. Occasionally, it was both. You may have hoped or wished or prayed to whatever deity you prefer that this was all a coincidence. Just outliers in the metal world before we get back to the 20<sup>th<\/sup> thrash revival or post-whatever. You were wrong. Nu-metal is here and it is alive and it is coming for you. The band name that doesn\u2019t really make sense. The super aggro in-your-face lyrics. The basic riffs. The masks. The DJs. \u00a0The rapping. At all.<br \/>\n0:36: Their neck pain must be extraordinary.<br \/>\n0:40: Why does he have a hat <em>and<\/em> a hood on? Is he chilly? Does he needs some hot cocoa?<br \/>\n0:44: Yes, please give up a close-up of your 5:30 shadow.<br \/>\n0:51: Those clean vocals were\u2026unexpected.<br \/>\n1:01: They\u2019re not bad or anything, they\u2019re just out of place.<br \/>\n1:07: There\u2019s an energy drink company executive absolutely jizzing himself trying to get these guys an endorsement deal.<br \/>\n1:13: I can practically see the motocross and BMX riders now.<br \/>\n1:19: Dirty Machine: Coming to a Warped Tour side stage near you.<br \/>\n1:24: I mean, once they\u2019re done <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whiskyagogo.com\/site\/event\/corey-feldman-the-angels-the-revies-dirty-machine-hurt-and-the-heartbeat-phase-five-breaking-27-visions-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opening for Corey freaking Feldman<\/a>, of course.<br \/>\n1:30: I\u2019m happy to report that, yes, each band member has a nickname.<br \/>\n1:33: David Leach aka (Dirty Davo) \u2013 Vocals<br \/>\n1:37: Arnold Quezada (Hedge) &#8211; Guitar<br \/>\n1:40: Darren Davis &#8211; Guitar\/Vocals<br \/>\n1:42: Nathan Young (Youngblood) &#8211; Bass<br \/>\n1:45: Mike Weekley (Nightmare) \u2013 Drums<br \/>\n1:49: DJ Ecusa &#8211; Turntables &amp; Samples<br \/>\n1:53: Darren Davis &#8211; Guitar\/Vocals<br \/>\n1:57: Poor Darren. I guess he doesn\u2019t get a nickname.<br \/>\n2:01: He\u2019s like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metal-archives.com\/bands\/Ghost_Bath\/3540372489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tim<\/a> from <strong>Ghost Bath<\/strong>.<br \/>\n2:05: I\u2019m sure the Kansas City Royals are thrilled to be associated with Dirty Machine.<br \/>\n2:09: TAKE THAT, MOM AND DAD!<br \/>\n2:17: Those fingerless gloves really help keep his palms warm.<br \/>\n2:26: I wish their hands also had masks.<br \/>\n2:33: This song is perfect for a wrestler just starting out in NXT, WWE\u2019s developmental organization.<br \/>\n2:38: On drums, the Predator\u2019s brother, Fred.<br \/>\n2:45: That\u2019s right. Fredator is on the drums.<br \/>\n2:52: That\u2019s not how you play the bass!<br \/>\n2:58: \u201cYou brought this on yourself.\u201d I feel like he\u2019s talking directly to us.<br \/>\n3:11: I\u2019m really blown away that a new band has a DJ in 2017.<br \/>\n3:16: I mean, they do know that laptops exist, right?<br \/>\n3:20: Guess you don\u2019t want to upset all those wikky-wikky purists out there.<br \/>\n3:27: They never addressed why the machine is so dirty.
