It’s Toilet Tuesday once more, and we’re getting so much new music that I’ve been overwhelmed with decision paralysis and barely listened to any of it. Do your part as a community member and help us find the stuff that doesn’t suck. None of us has time for mediocrity, so here’s one album from this week that definitely doesn’t blow:<\/p>\n

Let’s make one thing clear right away: the music on Gold & Grey<\/em> rocks. The vocal harmonies are as sweet as ever, and the songs are some of my favorites among my limited exposure to the band (I’ve only heard Blue<\/em> and Yellow & Green<\/em> as of this writing). Now, much ado has been made about the amount of fuzz on everything on this album; while I get why some people will be put off by this, I think it really works here. It complements the earthy feel of the music and gives it an aggressive edge that tingles the sludge-addicted part of my brain.\u00a06\/14\/19<\/strong> (Spear)<\/p>\n
