It’s Toilet Tuesday once more, and thank god it’s a solid one. There’s nothing huge releasing this week as far as I could find, but there’s lots of small- to mid-level bands putting out quality stuff that deserves your attention. I’ve got my pick; share your own down below.<\/p>\n

Sun of the Sleepless\/Cavernous Gate – split (Prophecy Productions) [Black Metal\/Death Doom]<\/strong>
\nListen<\/a><\/p>\n

Everybody loves a good split, and when one of the bands is\u00a0Sun of the Sleepless<\/a><\/strong>, you know you’re in for a good time. Schwadorf’s ear for atmosphere and melody is as strong as ever\u2014”The Lure of Nyght” is some prime trees’n’shit black metal, perfect for longs walks in the woods or gazing pensively out over a frozen lake. For their part, Cavernous Gate<\/strong> plays monstrous, synth touched death-doom that sounds almost like an OSDM take on\u00a0Katatonia<\/strong>. It’s an interesting sound to be sure, and I can’t wait to hear the rest of what both bands offer.\u00a012\/6\/19<\/strong> (Spear)<\/p>\n
