Virocracy – Ecophagia (Apostasy Records) [Prog Death]

If you like prog death that doesn’t scream at you that it’s prog death with each cheeky time signature change, you might want to give Virocracy a go. The two songs up are essentially thrashy melodeath tunes that just kinda happen to be progressive; it’s not super overt, but the way they approach it adds a lot of flavor as compared to your run-of-the-mill melodic death metal act. Really cool stuff happening here, and definitely one to keep an eye on for the full release. 3/25/22 (Spear)
