Ronnie Radke and Marilyn Manson Release “God is a Weapon”

You didn’t ask for it, I didn’t ask for it, but it’s here regardless.

Alleged rapist, convicted girlfriend-beater, self-proclaimed women disrespecter, and lifelong Skrillex cosplayer Ronnie Radke (Escape the Fate, Falling in Reverse) has paired up with several-times-since-the-90s alleged rapist, alleged girlfriend-beater, world-renowned racist (complete with Nazi tattoos), and overall yucky-looking flesh pile Marilyn Manson to release a new single that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy.

With the combination of being shot entirely in black and white, slow-motion shots of people screaming in pain, an angry wolf, a woman in a gimp suit sucking on a gun, and Manson sitting in the middle of some kind of medieval no-man’s-land for some reason, the music video for “God is a Weapon” would have felt right at home sometime around 2004. The latex and BDSM imagery wouldn’t be so offensive if both of the men involved with it didn’t seem to have such a difficult time understanding the concept of consent in the first place. Radke spends most of his screen time standing still flexing his abs like you would at home in the mirror (until mom knocks on the door and says the police are here with more questions about the death of Michael Allen Cook). In his off time, however, he makes out with a nude Barbie doll who throws lightning bolts like he throws mic stands.

As for the music itself, let’s go back to that Skrillex joke: this feels like 2011 dubstep with a Post Malone beat and some Katy Perry instrumentals. The random pauses, the low end “chub wub” — as the kids call it — kicking in halfway through, the auto-tuned vocals, it’s all here. Heck, the audio and video don’t even synch well. But by far the crown jewel in this cake of crap has to be Ronald’s voice cracking on the last word of the song. I couldn’t have written it any better myself.

I’m not putting the video in this article because I refuse to give either of these guys a cent, but if you really want to watch what I’ve had to watch, you know where to find it. Just be prepared for the unfathomable amount of glazing going on in the comment section. And if for whatever reason you feel like making living in America an even worse experience for yourself, tickets go on sale soon and can be purchased here, though I am a little surprised Kanye isn’t on this tour.
