This Toilet Tuesday (11/5/19)
Life sucks. Get some new music.
Not to use this as a dumping ground for my personal issues, but having to fight my shitty landlord has given me less time to take care of the Toilet articles I’d much rather be spending my evenings on. Nevertheless, I’ve gathered up as much new music as I could get my hands on for this week, and there’s a bunch of stuff down there that you should take the time to check out. Rorcal – Muladona (Hummus Records) [Sludge/Post-Metal]

To my ears, sludge is at its best when it’s equal parts brain and brawn, and Rorcal are masters of this. Their previous record, Creon, was a ponderous doom-laden epic, and it was surprisingly easy to get into in spite of its length. Muladona promises to be a shorter, more focused affair, and the preview track is appropriately savage and powerful. Look forward to this if you’re in the mood for something violent. 11/8/19 (Spear)
