Flush it Friday: Pinbowl Novice

Over the last 10 months, my partner has opened my owl eyes to the wonderful, confusing, overstimulating world of pinball. From the often peculiar artwork to the thrill (and panic) of trying to keep a multiball alive, I’ve grown fond of the game—enough that I’ve competed in a few low-(no?) stakes tournaments, despite the crushing anxiety I feel beforehand. This Tuesday, I joined up and participated in my first ever pinball league at Pop’s Pinball Parlor, where I’ve played the majority of my games amongst an inclusive and super-friendly community. My silly, silly self had visions of grandeur, in which I didn’t place last in one of the 4 games I’d been assigned. That did not happen. I was shellacked; drubbed; skunked; BTFO’d. Despite being mildly buttpained, after the league portion of the night ended, I proceeded to take the #1 score on the Dracula (Williams, 1993) machine; I’ve come to understand that such is the volatility of the game. Also, I challenge you to beat my high score on Centaur II (Bally, 1983). (You probably can!)
As we drain our balls, so must we flush.
Stick stuck by with TMP. Yours trowly TTT‘d.
