48 guitarists. 5 weeks of finger-bleeding fret-fuckery. 1 winner. Who will it be?

If you haven’t been alive for the past month, we have been pitting a bunch of the most creative guitarists in the game today against each other in order to determine who you think is currently the most innovative rifflord in the genre. No small task. If you wanna catch-up on how things have panned out so far, then you wanna stab here to get yourself up to speed. If you’re a lazy bastard, then you’ve come in at the right time as we’re about to decide the winner of this whole shit, right here, right now. I’ve also taken the liberty of giving our runners-up the chance to nab some bronze in a third place play-off. Here’s how last week’s semi-finals played out…

And the tournament so far

Now, it’s time for you to decide who will be crowned the most innovative guitarist in metal today.

Josh Raiken (Suffering Hour)

Scientifically proven to have penned the best riffs of 2017.

Dan Gargiulo (Artificial Brain | Revocation)

Sounds from the labyrinff constellation.

Dylan DiLella (Pyrrhon)

What ever happened to Oblivionized? Why won’t Psyopus ever play again? Who the fuck is behind Seminary?
I bet Dylan DiLella has the answers. There’s a non-zero chance he ate them.

Kevin Hufnagel (Dysrhythmia | Gorguts | Sabbath Assembly | Vaura)

Possibly the most underappreciated modern guitarist in metal, ostensibly because no amount of praise would seem adequate.
