Toilet Radio 650 – Spontaneous Combustion
The October Spooktacular continues! This week we’re watching a forgotten Tobe Hooper classic, Spontaneous Combustion (1990). Brad Dourif puts his whole ass into this starring role as the angriest man in the world versus his ex-wife, nuclear technology, and a decades long government conspiracy. We were both kinda shocked by how thoughtful and well-made 75% of this movie is. Further, we’re pretty sure the developers of the very popular Fallout video game series saw this one and decided to take a few, uh, notes for inspiration. This one is on Tubi right now and I cannot recommend it enough.
