Premiere: Samiarus – New Iron Age

Just in time for Civilization VII
I feel it in my bones, welcome to the New Iron Age, the New Iron Age. At least, according to the mysterious newcomers in Samiarus. This new era is not built on faith and reason, but on smashed faces and encroaching decay. There’s no singing choirs or heavenly rays of hope on the band’s new track. Only the filthy darkness that comes with dirty, gross blackened death metal. I can practically feel the rusty nails of gauntlets stabbing my forearms with each gurgled yell and unrelenting riff.
The band says:
” ‘Reign Destroyer’ is our debut EP. We all come from a diverse background, so we consider the work a sum of our interests. There isn’t only extreme metal therein, but also a big deal of punk, and subtle touches of noise and industrial, all things we love.‘New Iron Age’ is the opening song from the EP. It’s a track about a hypothetical order in which the individual is being pushed to its limits by oppression and injustice. The more the suffering, and the more those affected, the more violent, immense, and apocalyptic the outcome will be. Social pressure and class war will acerbate this fracture to such an extent, that violence will become a global, planetary resolution for retaliation, effectively sending us back to a primeval feral state where all humanity has been lost and the only technology developed is solely that for violent retaliative sabotage.”
