This Toilet Tuesday (1/12/21)
New music time, folks; you know the drill. It’s a pretty solid showing all around for new tunes, and Hans has a couple highlights picked out for you this week. Tantivy – Eyes in the Night (Independent) [Heavy/Thrash Metal]

As much of a whiff as anything involving wolves has about it, there’s no denying that this is pretty dang fun. A fast and loose take on heavy metal full of denim, leather, and swagger. Not the first you’ve heard, but one that’s more than competent enough to get you into the mood. 1/15/21 (Hans)
Molten – Dystopian Syndrome (Independent) [Thrash]

More heavy metal, this time mixed with death and, again, thrash metal, most notably so in “Zombies Curse,” which is the outlier out of the three available tracks (thankfully). The other two offer a pretty intriguing brand of gnarly mix of trad and death. It could probably do with some tightening of screws here and there, but there’s some sweet ideas on display, and the ripping guitar solos certainly don’t hurt. 1/15/21 (Hans)
