O great dookie decanter, O lowest lavatory, we bask in the glow of thy pallid perfection. This week we’ve got counterculture psy-ops, jawless fish prog death, and Horse the Band’s long-lost cousin. As was foretold, the bowl has quickly filled to the brim(stone)—beware the treacherous deeps and you may return to the surface with priceless treasures in tow! It’s been eight long years, but Ghoul are back.
This nasty, puke-green EP fuckin’ slaps.
Ghoul are back from the dead (har har har) and they’re mixing up some potent, putrid riffs like they’re ammonia and bleach. If you’re a fan of their goofy-gross style, then you’ll need no convincing. If you’re not, then check out the track “Shotgun Gulch”, which has a surf-inspired interlude worthy of the Dead Kennedys pinned between two spine-stomping thrash riffs. Still not sold on it? Then get down here and take a deep huff of these tunes with me, and I’ll see you on the other side. We’ll either trip balls on a riffadelic spirit quest, or we’ll die agonizing deaths.
