What do you get when you cross Tomi Leppänen of K-X-P and Aavikko with Chris Black of Pharaoh, Dawnbringer & High Spirits and Jussi Lehtisalo of Circle and Pharaoh Overlord? A lot of name dropping and stoner Devo, apparently. Be ready for tasteful rock, moving groove and spacey synths if you’re gonna climb aboard this AOR Stoner pseudo-weirdness. 2/24/20 (Karhu)

Bonehunter radiates extreme big bear dick energy and I’m always down for it. Uhh, Bonehunter. Down for Bonehunter. They’ve thrashed and blacked and metaled and punked (and deviled) their way to the top o’ the pile, the kings of the hill of devil metal punk. And Devil Metal Force shows no signs of slowing down. Snarly vocals, catchy riffs and a good time was had by all. Could have used more bear dicks though. 2/28/20 (Karhu)
Muscipula – Little Chasm of Horrors (Caligari) [Death Doom]

I wouldn’t call myself a fan of death doom by any means, but if it’s as over-the-top filthy as this, even I can’t resist. Musicpula like to take this VERY slow for the most part and dial up the fuzz a good deal. The vocals (sadly sparse in the preview track) sound like some disgusting mud monster. It’s got a primitive appeal that’s immediately engaging and makes you feel like you’re drowning in quicksand. 2/28/20 (Hans)
