Turns out I’m a sucker for inverted bird bundles. From the start, preview track “Babylon” evokes a Medieval atmosphere with layered clean chanting and intricate harmonies. The balance of caustic vocals and spirited folk metal riffing in this song is impeccable, drawing listeners in with its accessibility before clamping shut with jagged, blackened jaws.
