Eccentric Pendulum – Perspectiva Invertalis (Independent) [Prog Death]
Eccentric Pendulum has certainly earned their name; in addition to a 13-year gap between their debut and Perspectiva Invertalis, the band has recruited drummers eccentric pendulums Kevin Paradis (Benighted, ex-Svart Crown) and Hannes Grossmann (yes) to dissect time in ways previously thought impossible. Tracks like “Churning of the Blood Ocean” and “Narcissistic Myopia” veer from knotted Nevermore grooves to experimental freakouts with little warning, leaving listeners deep in a labyrinth with just enough thread to make sense of their surroundings.
