Abyssus – Death Revival (Transcending Obscurity) [Death Metal]

Thrashy death with some Obituary-ass vocals; what more do you need? It’s pretty meat-and-potatoes stuff, but to call it rote would be a mistake- this is very well executed, from the production to the mix to the riffs. It’s a good palate cleanser if you want something that hearkens back to the genre’s roots without sounding like the majority of OSDM revivalist bands out there today.
