Just look at those song titles and tell me you don’t want to jam this immediately. What you see on the tin is exactly what you get with this one, and it’s exactly what I wanted out of it. This is apocalyptic death metal with gurgled chants and production that sounds like it was recorded in an ancient temple dedicated to something that ate a god in times long past. There’s a touch of black metal sensibilities in the way the riffs repeat and circle into each other that really gives it that final ritualistic touch, and the result is monstrous as the entity on its cover art. 3/17/23 (Spear)
