Flush it Friday: Lisztomania

Franz Liszt would have made a lot of year-end lists. In 1841, he was the toast of Central Europe, a real panty-dropper of a composer. People mobbed him at concerts, attempting to snag a lock of his hair, his gloves, and even the butts of his cigars. The guy even ended up on cameos people would wear to his shows—apparently the no-merch-from-the-band-on-stage thing wasn’t in effect yet in the mid-19th century. I guess this would make him, in Toilet ov Hell terms, equivalent to Khirki or Dream Unending here in 2021CE.

Yes, folks, our Liszts are beginning to pile up here at the Toilet. Thank you all for visiting to take a gander at what longstanding Toileteers and even relative newcomers like myself have to say about the fine musical output of the past twelve months! Truly, it was an exciting year, whether you want knuckle-dragging riffage or you’re part of the skramz fam. While we aren’t quite through each Toileteer’s AOTYs, this week saw the finest of 2021 listed by many of us including yours truly. Let’s review:

Monday brought the heat from IGoMMegachiles, and Stick:

TOP ALBUMS OV 2021 W/ IGOM, MEGACHILES, AND STICK!

Tuesday sported lists from me, GoatForest, and Hans:

TOP ALBUMS OV 2021 W/ THEOPHRASTUS BOMBASTUS, GOATFOREST, AND HANS!

Wednesday, we got the top bops from SpookyBen, and Bork:

TOP ALBUMS OV 2021 W/ A SPOOKY MANSION, BEN SERNA-GREY, AND LORD OF BORK!

Yesterday saw the likes of 365eenzy, and Karhu liszting their faves:

TOP ALBUMS OV 2021 W/ 365 DAYS OF HORROR, EENZAAMHEID, AND NORDLING RITES OV KARHU!

And earlier today we welcomed Dapatcho to the Toilet alongside Sepulcrustacean and Beavis:

TOP ALBUMS OV 2021 W/ SEPULCRUSTACEAN, BEAVIS CHRIST, AND DAPATCHO!

And all that came on top of two fun premieres and a year-in-review sesh with the Toilet Radio boiz. What a week!

We’ll have more Lisztomania for you soon. In the meantime, holler with your mid-December G/B/Us in the comments.
