TAG DIVING: DEATHGRIND

“I’m not afraid of death; I just don’t want to be there when it happens.”
Welcome back to Tag Diving, the column where I, the immuno-incompromisable Reliquary Tower trudge through the travesties of Bandcamp in much the same way as one might delve into a dumpster in search of a new unicycle that just needs a new seat and wheel. I’m trying out doing these by genre rather than theme every so often, so let’s see how it goes!
Sallow Moth – Mossbane Lantern
I actually listened to this one in the shower this morning. The lads from our Discord server (which you should join!) have been singing its praises since it came out, but I only just got around to it. If you’re into brutal death metal that gets progressively more… uh… progressive as it continues, look no further than Mossbane Lantern. Plus that album art is gorgeous!
Sewer Haul – Torso Mangled Beyond Repair
Look man, you already know what this sounds like. One glance at that album cover should tell you all you need to know. It’s dirty, it’s hardcore-y, and it’s fun. It’s also like six minutes, so what do you have to lose?
Necropsy Odor – Tales From the Tepid Cavity
What drew me into this one was actually the album cover. I’ve seen that movie! It’s called Slumber Party Massacre II and it SUCKS. Legit one of the worst movies I’ve seen in my life (you should watch the first one though). But what doesn’t suck is this little record! It’s got all the barfiness you could possibly want and plenty of slammy guitar riffs. Once again, this thing’s pretty darn short, so take it for a spin!
There you have it! Short and sweet, much like most of these tracks. See y’all next week!
