Spire – Temple of Khronos (Sentient Ruin) [Black Metal]

Two extremely promising tracks that make me think I should check out their debut. The music effortlessly flows between black metal blasts all the way down prolonged doom parts, almost all the while going hard on trippy reverb and echo effects. The vocal range is fittingly broad, from an agonized howl to snarling proclamations to ominous chanting. If you dug that Grave Gnosis album from a few weeks ago but would like a more polished version, this might be for you. 2/19/21 (Hans)
