This Toilet Tuesday (6/11/19)
It’s Toilet Tuesday once more, and we’re getting so much new music that I’ve been overwhelmed with decision paralysis and barely listened to any of it. Do your part as a community member and help us find the stuff that doesn’t suck. None of us has time for mediocrity, so here’s one album from this week that definitely doesn’t blow:

Let’s make one thing clear right away: the music on Gold & Grey rocks. The vocal harmonies are as sweet as ever, and the songs are some of my favorites among my limited exposure to the band (I’ve only heard Blue and Yellow & Green as of this writing). Now, much ado has been made about the amount of fuzz on everything on this album; while I get why some people will be put off by this, I think it really works here. It complements the earthy feel of the music and gives it an aggressive edge that tingles the sludge-addicted part of my brain. 6/14/19 (Spear)
