This shit is really hard to do without internet.
Moving is a bitch for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that it saps away precious time that could be used for metal blogging. As such, this week’s list is a little slim; I know there’s shit that I missed, so if you notice gaps, feel free to fill them in the comments.
Axioma – Crown (Translation Loss Records) [Death Metal/Sludge]

Despite their odd self-identification as post-black metal, Axioma sling around deep, dirty riffs with some mighty vigor. The haunting clean interlude and floaty leads in “Sacred Killing Machine” alludes to some of that post-metal sound, but based on the rest of this single, Crown sounds like it’s going to be a big nasty death metal record. I am, of course, totally down for this, and very much looking forward to the soundscapes Crown promises to bring. 6/28/19 (Spear)
