There’s been a lot of slanderous talk around these parts about the diminishing returns of recent Cattle Decapitation records. I will not be defending the band. Instead, I’ll be taking a captive bolt pistol right to my dome, courtesy of the pummeling vegan deathgrind of Bloodmouth. Carnist Industrial Complex is shorter than veal’s lifespan, more claustrophobic than a steel crate, and heavier than my heart upon seeing the dismal conditions in a factory farm. There’s a distinctive crust coating the production, like congealed blood on an abattoir’s floor—Hopefully someone will slip into the grinder and shut it down long enough for a cow d’état to occur. -Roldy
