This Toilet Tuesday (9/20/22)
Toilet Tuesday returns once more, and the metal music machine keeps grinding out records. This week’s list includes a lot of monster releases, so I’m going to stop talking so you can start listening. Hit that list and tell us your highlights for the week.
Algebra – Chiroptera (Unspeakable Axe) [Thrash]
Regular Toilet readers will already be pretty well acquainted with Algebra (Hans even premiered a song from this album not too long ago), but the more I listen to them, the more inclined I am to keep talking about them. Chiroptera sees the band hold true to the path they followed on Pulse? but all the edges have been sharpened. It’s more aggressive, better produced, and they’re not afraid to keep tossing in those weird Voivod-y bits. There’s a lot to dig into on this one, and I can already tell I’ll be revisiting this one plenty in the future. 9/19/22 (Spear)
