Epectase – Nécroses (Frozen Records) [Progressive Black Metal]
I love it when bands aren’t afraid to get weird with at, and boy does Epectase deliver on the weird. The music here is dense and multifaceted, weaving together hazy chords, technical riff work, and some gnarly bits of dissonance together near seamlessly. Each moment brings something new and interesting, and every song is easy to get lost in, not at all feeling their hefty length. Check it out if your a fan of progressive music of any sort; you won’t be disappointed. 11/18/22 (Spear)
