10 years since their last LP, it’s time to get wyrd with some Jakartan death jams. The frills are few on this release; beyond an Indonesian spoken-word intro (“Testamen”) and bizarre synth segment (“The New Arc Descends”), one can expect thrash tempos, propulsive percussion approaching deathgrind in its constant battery, and a few choice slam riffs sprinkled throughout. Hints of hardcore and OSDM crop up in tracks like “Samsara” and “Eternal Dread,” along with tasteful guitar leads that belie the simplicity of the surrounding compositions.
