Exclusive Stream: Nequient – Infinite Regress

Crusty d-beat from Chicago to your earbuttz.
Over the last year and a half, Nequient has been making racket in the Midwest. Infinite Regress, the latest EP from this Chicago 5-piece, is here for your listening/hatemoshing pleasure. Recorded with Pete Grossmann (Weekend Nachos, Veil of Maya, Jar’d Loose) at Bricktop and featuring art by Mike G. Miller (Bongripper, Sick/Tired, The Muzzler), Infinite Regress is 6 tracks of harder-than-fuck crusty d-beat.
The first half of Infinite Regress is a whiplash of speed and brutality. The second half will thrill you with the unexpected. “Dismember the Demagogue” is a sludge-y affair, powered by mortar shell low end. “BIP” fires off a completely unexpected and wild guitar solo, and “Obsidian Affair” seems to dabble with an almost black metal sound with vocals varying from a hardcore bark, disgusting gutturals, and a blackened shriek. Check it all out below and tell me what you think.
