Vexation – Trepidation Reigns (Bitter Loss Records) [Death Thrash]
I like when thrash dips into death metal just a little bit; much as I enjoy a good straightforward thrash record (that last Razor album was a ton of fun), getting a little bit of that extra chunk in there from the death side of things really tickles my lizard brain. Vexation also bring in a little spice in some creative chords, and the overall vibe seems pretty similar to that last Bloodletter release. I’ve got a feeling this will be worth a few spins, and I’m very much looking forward to the full release. 10/21/22 (Spear)
