This Toilet Tuesday (10/19/21)
It sure is a Toilet Tuesday today, and we’ve got a buttload of new music here for your perusal. There’s a shockingly high density of trad-flavored stuff out this week, with plenty to pick through for heavy metal, doom, and speed metal fans, plus a couple power metal releases for good measure. Obviously it’s more than just that, but it’s unusual given the amount of somber black metal we tend to see come autumn. In any case, let us know what you’re jamming this week, as always.

After a particularly grueling list compilation session this week (seriously, it was brutal), I had to return to the one album I knew would effectively sandblast my brain into a slurry. After listening to the three tracks available- two monstrous death metal tunes and a spooky interlude- I have had the last few hours of my memory bulldozed away, leaving me blissfully numb. This is some volatile death metal, rife with lurching tempo changes and some particularly grimy vocals. If you make it through this week’s Worm release and need a good chaser, this is your album. 10/22/21 (Spear)
