Toilet Tuesday comes ’round once again, and with it a blizzard of new albums falling from the sky like manna. Or angel shit. Either way you look at it, the end-of-year release train hasn’t slowed one bit, and I can only hope that we can keep this energy rolling next month (please let there be good albums in January for a change). What’s better than a creepy, dirty death metal EP? Two creepy, dirty death metal EP’s stapled together in a split. Noxis and Cavern Womb are two great tastes that taste great together, each exploring a different take on a Finndeath-touch sound, the former being aggressive and thrashy and the latter wrapped in doom shell. This idea- two bands with a similar core theme but different approaches to it- is when splits are at their best, and this one is instantly enjoyable.
