TMP: A Sense of Gravity, Deathspell Omega, Anciients, and More!
Have you been without internet for the last four days? Or maybe you stopped communicating with the outside world since that new Netflix show came out. Either way, The Monday Press has you covered with a news roundup.
Maryland Deathfest made its final selections. Check out the lineup here.
One of my favorite up-and-coming progressive metal bands, A Sense of Gravity, released a new song off their upcoming album. Look for that November 18.
Here’s some new Animals as Leaders. I wasn’t as captivated by their sophomore album, but this is interesting to say the least.
New Crowbar track. Album out October 28.
- Our friend David Brenner from Earsplit has released a new track from his Gridfailure project over at Loudwire. That album will be out for free on October 30th.
- Deathspell Omega is releasing a new EP titled The Synarchy of Molten Bones in November. I’ve never seen so many pre-orders before the first song is even released. The hype is real.
- Pain of Salvation put out a teaser video for their new album, which will be out January 13th. The tiny sample makes it sound like a far enough offshoot from their previous few albums, so I am interested.
- I somehow missed that atmospheric/sludge/other genres band Mouth of the Architect is releasing an album on Friday. Check out one of the tracks here.
- Dead Congregation announced a little EP coming October 20th.
- Progressive metal band Anciients premiered a new song at Guitar World. I keep forgetting that I really like this band. You should like them too.
- Math/hard/core band The Number Twelve Looks Like You are reuniting after a few year hiatus.
- Steel Panther are coming back. Ugh.
- Getcha nu metal pulls at a Korn, Heaven Shall Burn, and Hellyeah concert.
- Guitarist Phil Sgrosso is leaving Wovenwar to pursue other projects.
- Hardcore punk band Homewrecker are releasing an EP at the end of the month.
