Tyree is back because he is an uncontrollable force of nature with one mission: scammin’ on Bandcamp and bringing you the best finds.

Bastard Feast – Osculum Infame

There must be something in the water in Portland, Oregon. It’s like a breeding ground for mean, crusty bands. When I think of the word “mean,” Bastard Feast formally known as Elitist is quick to come to mind. This 2014 release, Osculum Infame, is some blackened hate infused filthy sounding crust/D-beat/sludge/hardcore with some grindy moments. Top 10 competitor for this year for me.

Dödläge – 1st EP

What!?! Another awesome crust band from Portland, Oregon? Imagine that! Dödläge keep their crust punk simple, aggressive, grindy, and to the damn point which is right up my alley. The vocals sound like a mix between Barney Greenway of Napalm Death & Ethan Lee McCarthy of Primitive Man/Vermin Womb. Add a little bit of D-beat to your life and get crusty with Dödläge’s 1st EP.

ATAVISMA – Where Wolves Once Dwelled Demo tape

Old-school death metal fans need to jump on this! If you enjoy bands like Funebrarum, Incantation, Dead Congregation, and Disma you’ll enjoy Atavisma. I’m really anxious to hear more great death metal from these French destroyers.

TAURUS – No/Thing

Oh look, another band from Portland, Oregon. This duo consisting of Ashley Spungin and Stevie Floyd do not play crusty music like the top two bands from Portland. These two are a whole new breed of strange. Their sound is sort of an Avant Garde Doom mixed with Blut Aus Nord. I can say to you that this is one epic journey and you have to hear it to believe it. TAURUS is a band to look out for, I have a feeling good things will happen for them.

Dungeons of Blood – Forlorn Graves

Fans of Impetuous Ritual, listen up because you are going to dig this band! The word menacing comes to mind when I listen to Forlorn Graves; this EP just brings the fucking hate so hard. Most of you will probably be turned off by the production but I urge you to look past that and listen to the well crafted death metal that is Dungeons of Blood. Let’s hope these Australians can deliver some more madness into this world after their one and only EP.

Void Ritual – Holodomor

Void Ritual is a one-man black metal project from New Mexico formed by Daniel Jackson of Ancestral Oath. This EP was originally released digitally on 2013 but it now has a actual physical release on cassette this year. If you like your black metal ferocious, hateful, and and fast then look no further because Daniel has delivered the goods.
