This Toilet Tuesday (8/3/21)
The summer dry spell continues in this week’s Toilet Tuesday, both in terms of rain and album release quantity. We need both moisture and new music in equal measure, though the rain might be a wee bit more important now that I think about it what with half the fucking continent being on fire. Anyway, don’t let the impending apocalypse distract you from the fact that only a couple good albums release this week and that you deserve better.
Cesspool of Corruption – Requiems of the Ignominious (Gore House Productions) [Tech Death]

It wasn’t that long ago that we ran a premiere of the first track on this album, but it bears repeating that this whips ass. The second single, “Apparitions of Malevolence,” proves that the first wasn’t just a fluke; this is shaping up to be some top-shelf melodic tech death. The production style isn’t going to be for everyone, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the music if you’re looking for your daily dose of weedlies and blast beats. 8/6/21 (Spear)
