Morokh – All the Darkness Looks Alive (Independent) [Blackened Hardcore]

I tend to prefer my black metal riffy these days, and Morokh is delivering this week. All the Darkness Looks Alive is a rollicking black metal album tinged with some hardcore elements (hardened black metal?) that doesn’t really play to the repetitive nature of the former style or the aggressively dumb stylings of the latter. While that may sound like a recipe for disappointment for fans of both BM and hardcore, I can assure you this album is a ton of fun. 5/10/21 (Spear)
