This week on Toilet Radio: For reasons that I cannot fully articulate, we went over to the Internet Archive to watch The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, a 1990 starring vehicle for one of the worst to ever do it: Andrew “Dice” Clay. This picture, in which Dice plays a “Rock n’ Roll Detective”, is confusing, expensive, mean-spirited, giant piece of shit from a butt. BUT it does feature Gilbert Gottfried as Howard Stern, Vince Neil as a dead rock star Ed O’Neil as a disco detective, an animatronic koala, Robert Englund as a murderous Billy Idol, Morris Day, Lauren Holly, Tone Loc, and one of my favorite character actors – David Patrick Kelly. Join us as we talk about massive financial disasters, the lost art of a successful soundtrack attached to a box office bomb, and the hard transition from the 80s to the 90s. Folks, it’s a strange one.
