The Monday Press: Drudkh, Alestorm, Auroch, and More!
Another Tuesday edition of The Monday Press. Come get your day-old newspaper and use it for covering your floor from dog piss like everyone else.
With possibly the greatest tour poster I have ever seen, Alestorm, Nekrogoblikon, and Æther Realm announced a tour.
Following the release of their new EP in August, Skeletonwitch are touring North America, with Iron Reagan, Oathbreaker, Gatecreeper, and Homewrecker. It’s called The Curse of the Dead tour, but it should be called the Compound Word tour.
The awesome tour posters keep coming. The Dread Crew of Oddwood are doing a US tour in August/September. 365 wrote a mini-review of their last album.
Drudkh, Ukranian atmospheric black metal band, unveiled a new track off their upcoming split with Grift.
Solution .45, the band featuring the ex-Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam, released a new track. It’s Melodeath.
- Ne Obliviscaris is kicking ass using the crowdfunding site Patreon, collecting over $8,000 a month and offering some good rewards.
- In political news, Brujeria announced a new album, their first in 16 years, which will be out September 16th. Head over here for tour info and interesting details about the album.
- (I can’t decide on a subgenre)-band Downfall of Gaia have entered the studio to record their fourth full length. (Atmospheric Sludge maybe?)
- Red Fang has a teaser clip and a release date of October 14th, check it out here.
- Insomnium is the latest band to cancel a gig because of potential assholes. This time it was a show in Turkey.
- Auroch, dissonant Canadian death metal band, who just released a split in June, announced a new album coming in October. Look for more info on MUTE BOOKS soon.
- Kalmah has started working on their 8th album. Lots of melodeath news this week.
- In old people news, a drummer left a band, and I literally can’t care any more than this.
