Do you pine for more Chaos of Forms-era Revocation? Perhaps you’re still hunting for something to fill that Vektor-shaped hole in your heart? Look no further than Blasteroid, my friends: you have found your home. The band got a fair amount of praise for their 2017 EP, Universal Knowledge, and this new one is a massive step up from that in terms of both production and songwriting. This is peak sci-fi prog thrash, replete with alien melodies and insane instrumental work; if Universal Knowledge put them on the map, Crypts of Mind will cement their place as genre essentials. -Spear
