This Toilet Tuesday (6/3/25)

O Deity ov Dookies, O Vile Vessel, suffer us as we soil Thy basin. This week, we’ve got skirmishing serpents, Brock Samson‘s upset tummy, and regal Psittaciformes. The Bowl is as a tidal pool this time around—the water is low, but each magnificent specimen awaits within arm’s reach. Scoop up something new and let us know what we missed in the comments!
Bear Mace – Slaves of the Wolf (Independent) [Death]
It’s been 5 years since the ursine mallet last fell upon simian skulls; in this time, the band hibernated, dreamt up ways to play new songs in an old genre, and didn’t squander a single nerve impulse on such trivial concepts as “nuance” and “evolution.” (Thank goodness.) The stench of Death is strong throughout—check the guest appearance from Kam Lee in the forthcoming “Captured and Consumed”—and we can only assume many bolts were thrown during the recording of Slaves of the Wolf. Those in search of novelty will leave hungry, but any craving gravelly gutturals and no-frills OSDM (replete with a fittingly desiccated mix from Damian Herring) will need to find a cave of their own to sleep off their gluttony. -Roldy
