Svn.Seeker Crystal And Gold EP

Seeking Crystal and Gold

Melodic death metallers and friends of the Toilet Ov Hell Podcast Svn.Seeker return with the killer 2-song EP Crystal And Gold. First, we have an original, “The Gold Will Rise,” a blast of classic 00’s melodeath that would make Arsis blush with its tight riffs, higher-range screams, and an unbelievable tightness from every single member working as one. The second is a cover of Death‘s “Crystal Mountain.” This cover works because, while the band stays true to the original, they add their own sound to it. It’s not an exact copy, nor is the song so different that you can’t recognize it. That’s how you cover a classic.

Every single metal record label out there is fucking up by not having Svn.Seeker on their roster. There’s enough crummy metalcore covering pop songs on YouTube already. Get it together, nerds, ’cause someone is finally going to snatch them up and you’ll regret it.

Extremely handsome guitarist/vocalist Nikita Khrenov says:

I wrote “The Gold Will Rise” as a pure, riff-centric, song that gives us all room to express ourselves as musicians. It’s a blast to play live because it allows everyone to have a turn in the spotlight and show off for the crowd. “Crystal Mountain” is one of those all-time classic death metal songs. We had played it a handful of times at select shows and we all seemed to click really well with it. It just felt like the perfect song to accompany “The Gold Will Rise.”
