We’re at the official ass end of the year. Post-chrimbus, pre-new years has us drinking the shitty dregs of this terrible, terrible year. FORTUNATELY, it’s almost over. In the meantime, a bunch of stuff happened during the craziness of the holidays. Here is your roundup of news you may or may not have missed out on:

Norwegian blvkk metvl band Keep of Kalessin have a new record coming out! It’s called Epistemology and it’ll be out on the streets February 13th. That shit is available for pre-order right now. You get a free signed poster if you pre-order before the new year so do dat here.

UK riff titans Electric Wizard plan to embark on a full tour of the U.S., their first since 2002. That’s good! But they’ll mostly be playing tunes from Time to Die. That’s bad. You can get super stoned and have a good time anyway. That’s good! Satan’s Satyrs are opening. That’s irritating I’ll keep my opinions to myself.

All dates with Satan’s Satyrs:
3/31 Union Transfer Philadelphia, PA
4/1 Baltimore Soundstage Baltimore, MD
4/2 Webster Hall New York, NY
4/3 Royale Boston, MA
4/4 Corona Theatre Montreal, QC
4/5 Lee’s Palace Toronto, ON
4/7 Metro Chicago, IL
4/8 Mill City Nights Minneapolis, MN
4/10 Summit Music Hall Denver, CO
4/11 Urban Lounge Salt Lake City, UT
4/13 Neumos Seattle, WA
4/14 Rickshaw Vancouver, BC
4/15 Hawthorne Theater Portland, OR
4/17 Slims San Francisco, CA

Massively popular Frenchie-groove-metal-band-that-I-know-y’all-love-but-I-still-don’t-quite-get Gojira casually mentioned on Facebook that they are currently working on a brand new full-length. Here’s a screenshot. gojira

That’s literally all the info anyone has so let’s just watch that delightful “Flying Whales” animated video together.

NAILS, the Michael Phelps of grindcore, recently dropped two new tracks through Decibel’s flexi disc series. You can listen to them shits right here and if you really want to own the physical copy you can get it through Decibel magazine riiiiight here.

And finally, very exciting news for meat-heads like me: Chicago industrial/hardcore/death metal wrecking crew Harm’s Way have announced a new album is on the way in 2015. Rust will be their first full length since 2011’s bone crushing Isolation. It’ll be out March 10th on Deathwish and I am STOKED. Here’s the cover art and track list:

06. Amongst The Rust

Go like them on Facebook to be informed as soon as new material premiers and tell ’em Joe really wants to lift weights with their vocalist.
