I love it when brutal death bands go for more than B I G C H U G G S and pig squeals, and Schizogen is really doing it for me. They sound a bit like if Disentomb structured their songs like Unfathomable Ruination; you get the desolate, colossal riffs of the former presented with the chaotic flow of the latter. It’s some pretty fun stuff, and it’s probably worth a listen if the typical BDM band is a little too unga bunga for you (plus, anything with tremolo dive riffs get my seal of approval). 2/21/20 (Spear)
